 The Hyrup Vestermark Battery

 Batteri composed af 4 pcs. of 12 cm. guns from Fort Feldscheide at Kiel. High carriages.
 Placed 2500 metres west-south-west of the old schol in Hyrup.
 The crew consisted of naval gunners.
 The battery had once been placed at Höjbjerg, North of the town Arrild but was moved.
 
There was three observations places.
 The Main bunker in tomb hill 300 metres north of the battery.
 A reserve observation place east of this.
 A observation place in the treetops (Baumbeobachtung) in the north western corner of Hyrup Skov
 (forrest)
 Finally there was a frontal observation post (Vorgeschobene beobachtung( at Gøttrup 2000 metres
 north of the battery.
