 The Hoptrup Mark Battery.

 
Battery of 4 guns mounted on carriages on wheels.
 The German name Battery No. 8 (Batterie 8.)

 The Battery was positioned on the southern hillside 1200 meters south of the hills called Hoptrups
 Schweitz.  

 A moat has been made in front of the battery, and the guns has been mounted on platforms of
 timber.
 Concrete has only been used for munitions storage at the western end of the battery. 
 Holes has been made for two bunkers that has never been build.
 In front of the battery there was heavy fences of barbed wire.
